In my tiny studio, that looks
out on the hazelnut and fir trees in the backyard, I create the
jewelry, clothing and artifacts that I see in my imagination.
Cloisonne enamel, precious metal, fabric and fiber, amber, bone and gemstone all turn to unique and wearable art. |

In addition to making art, I am involved with the Society for Creative Anachronism, a historic re-creation group. As a result, much of my jewelry is informed by the ideas of our ancestors. In the SCA, my friends know me as Fjorlief in Haga. When I am not in the studio, you might find me out walking with my Akita dog Smokey, checking out the geese that nest alongside the bay or watching the ripples in the water under the Perry Creek bridge. |
